Our character flaws do not define who we are. For example, you may struggle with anger, but that doesn’t mean you’re an angry person. Since God’s Spirit is at work in you to change your character flaws, you are a child of God who is struggling with anger. Understanding this distinction greatly affects you being made whole.
Wouldn't it be nice to live our lives in such a way that we would be unafraid of our past catching up with us? (Matthew 5:8)
When Jesus encounters a lame man by the pool of Bethesda a powerful story of healing unfolds. There are three characters in the story that emerge: God, a Pharisee, and the lame man. Which one do you identify with most? Your answer determines whether or not you will be made whole.

The often quoted Friedrich Nietzche once said, "Whatever doesn't kill you will make you stronger." Mentors, coaches, teachers, and certainly bosses are quick to pull that one out when they want to change your productivity level or your attitude. However, in your walk with God, surrendering your attitude to Him yields a much greater blessing than just being stronger.
God has a wonderful plan for your life. How often have we heard that? The choices we make today have an impact on what our tomorrow will look like.
